MATOS® RIFD Technology – How does it work?

The MATOS® RFID system is very precise utilising high-powered UHF RFID antennas. The antennas are mounted on two axes, allowing for accurate reads even if product is not placed completely straight within the cabinet. MATOS RFID cabinets are shielded from the surrounding environment, removing the possibility of false tag reads from nearby products to the cabinet.

The system performs RFID Inventory scans on a regular basis, at the user’s preference. By scanning regularly and upon door close, the RFID inventory is a live readout of all products within the cabinet. The system also provides the ability to create reports, both automatically sent to your email inbox, and custom reports that can be generated for any time frame or point in time.

Our central monitoring dashboard provides the ability to see asset status at a glance, including inventory and temperature monitoring data and the accompanying features that brings (such as sms alerts on exceeding a temperature threshold).

The MATOS® Monitoring platform features a robust auditing system, meaning that all data entered into the database is read only, and can never be modified, only appended to. Data is kept for a minimum of 15 years; therefore, the system conforms with FDA CFR Chapter 21, part 11 regulations on data storage and retrieval.
