7. Alert Rules

MATOS applies cascading alert logic to ensure compliance with cold chain standards.

  • Alert tiers:
    • Tier 1: 4 readings in 15 min in high range
    • Tier 2: 2 consecutive in caution-high or caution-low
    • Tier 3: 1 reading in critical high/low

Note: Alert tiers apply only within the same type (e.g. a Tier 2 cold does not override a Tier 1 hot).

  • If using buffered sensors, users may opt out of cascading logic by setting all alert thresholds equal (e.g., all high = 12°C).

8. Repeats & Return-to-Normal

  • Alerts can be set to repeat:
    • All alerts
    • Critical alerts only
    • No repeats
  • Default interval: 5 minutes
  • Critical alerts include:
    • Tier 3 alerts
    • Power failure
    • Network failure
  • “Return to Normal” message can be enabled

9. SMS Allowance & Suspension

  • Default limits:
    • 20 SMS/device/day
    • 50 SMS/customer account/day
  • If exceeded:
    • Final warning SMS is sent
    • SMS alerts are suspended for 24h
    • Email alerts are never suspended
  • After 24h, if excessive alerts persist, suspension extends another 24h
  • Contact MATOS to request increased limits

10. Account Hierarchy

Accounts are structured as:

  • Organisation (admin)
    • Customer
      • Site
        • Device
          • Asset

Only Organisation accounts can see/manage Customer accounts.
